Latest Customer Reviews

Great experience again , the camper which we got was a compact Globescout Fiat Ducati and was in excellent quality. The service provided by the Black Sheep staff in Lyon was good as well. My wife and I look forward to more trips to Europe. Next time we are thinking of booking a Volkswagen California style camper.

Chantilly:

less than an hour out of the city centre, depending on traffic, and famous for its palace and gardens. You are able to park your vehicle at Camping Campix or Camping International de Maisons-Laffite if you wish to stay in the area after a scenic drive. This city is considered one of the most famous for its incredibly beautiful châteaux, Château de Chantilly, built in 1560. Most people don’t expect beautiful forests as well when they dream of their French holiday, but don’t be to awe-struck at the fact that in this city one can also enjoy mother nature’s beautiful forest here. A lush green environment that is 63km squared (24.49 sq)! Luckily for those doing a trip around France with their vehicle, this area is easy drivable so one can enjoy it’s beauty. Do not be worried about driving around.

Fontainbleau:

admire the sights while you make your way to Fontainbleau, a quaint and historical town that is known for its captivating forest and chateau. As this is an incredibly popular getaway for Paris’ 12 million-plus inhabitants, make sure you book your stay at Camping International de Jablines or Camping Le Village Parisien well in advance. This 172.05 km squared old town from the 12th century is diverse and rich in history, giving an old feel that one is back in time. Take a step into nostalgia with the ability to bask in the palace garden fountain’s viewing area. Take a walk with the butterflies of Fontainebleau forest and climb the bouldering walls that are considered some of the most developed in the world. See why thousands of people stroll through the gardens and back streets of this city and you yourself will fall in love with it as has the 16,000 people living there.

Giverny:

a pleasant trip through the countryside to Claude Monet’s former house and gardens is worthy putting a day aside for. After a day spent looking around, set up camp at Camping Municipal or Federation Francaise de Camping et de Caravaning. From Paris begin by taking the A13 to Bonnières then the D201 to Vernon, after crossing the river look out for signs to guide you the remainder of the way. You will fall in love surely with the real beauty that one may believe is only in the paintings of Claude Monet, but the reality is that even the paintings don’t do justice to this small village 80km west of Paris. Not much into painting? There are dozens of nature trails for hiking in the hills above Giverny, some of the hills giving incredible panoramic views of the neighboring towns and jaw dropping valleys, but bring insect repellent if hiking in the summer!
