The amount of history in this forest alone is enough to warrant the trip itself!

he views of Landgrave Castle and the Roman Fort, within a UNESCO World Heritage site, make for a great drive from the city centre, with motorhome accommodation in Hambach and Kaiserslautern. See the mineral springs at Kurpark in the center of the city, where many people walk around and enjoy one of the many amenities this area has to offer. For those that love to walk around and enjoy scenery, there is also Schlosspark near Landgrave castle that is famous for picture taking and scenic views. However, for those that like to bicycle, head over to Kaiser-Wilhelm-Jubiläumspark. Luckily, this little town is just outside of Frankfurt and easy to reach for a day trip and feels like it’s not anywhere near Frankfurt.
