Best Customer Reviews

We booked with Euromotorhome Rental the price seemed fair and they were close to the airport , its on the same road to Barcelona city (Road number C-31 orange colour). The campervan was great very new and we had no problems with the RV. This time we decided to buy our own linen from the local Ikea.

✅ Santander to Rioja:

Drive southeast through green plains and vineyards. Highlights on this trip include mansions, wine tours, medieval towns, and museums. Camper sites are available in Rioja. The drive itself is actually quite a long one and there is so much to see along the way. The drive on the A-8 and AP-68 is actually 250 kilometers and takes around 2 and a half hours. You’ll definitely want to take the drive slowly so you can soak in all of the Spanish culture and the Spanish sun! Along the way, most people choose to stop in Bilbao. Bilbao is the capital of Vizcaya in the infamous Basque Country. The cooler climate of this area makes it a perfect place to have lovely green hills and an abundance of rain compared to the areas situated around it. Stop and see the Guggenheim Museum as well as have a walk through the streets of Casco Viejo. Along the drive, don’t forget to check out Parque Natural de Gorbeia. This is the highest Basque natural park and has an abundance of great picturesque spots.

✅ Santander to Santiller del Mar:

The distance to this village is only 24kms and is only a 30-minute drive on the A-67. It is a good route for a day trip. In the village, you can walk along the cobblestone streets which wind past shops and sandstone houses. Visitors can follow the walking trails through the mountains or spend time on the beach. Along the way, most people choose to have a stop in the middle in the small town of Polanco. It is a very small little city but gives an authentic feel of not being in such a touristy part of Spain. Once you reach Santiller del Mar, you’ll love the medieval architecture that the city itself is quite famous for. You also have the Altamira Caves which are just out of town. The whole area itself is crawling with history and it is best to get a book or a guide to show you around so you can soak all the information up! Cueva de Covalanas hosts rock paintings that are over 15000 years old and should definitely not be missed!

✅ Santander to Castro Urdiales:

Although it only takes around 45 minutes, this route is good for a day trip and the highlights include a Gothic church from the Middle Ages and a lighthouse. Camper sites in Castro Urdiales offer camping van drivers a place to rest and make use of a range of amenities. Just hop on the A8 and cruise slow, taking in the scenery along the way. Castro Urdiales is a famous Roman-founded city that has become a tourist destination that attracts tons of visitors a year these days. One of the highlights of the city is to just relax on the beaches or check out the bay of Biscay.
