Denver to Ouray:

This route follows Highway 550 with a stopover in Colorado Springs. You can also visit Montrose, which is an agricultural hub. The drive from Denver to Ouray actually takes around 6 hours, but you’ll want to stop at some of the awesome views so better make it 7 or more. The 300-mile drive is actually quite easy on the US-285 S and US-50 W. The drive itself passes many famous places to hop out of the car and get the camera ready. One of which is Pike National Forest and is home to Pikes Peak. Pikes Peak is actually the most visited mountain in North America and second most visited mountain next to Japan’s Mount Fuji! Along the drive, you’ll also pass by San Isabel National Forest which contains Mount Elbert – the highest peak in Colorado.
